Stencyl is a new flash game engine made for indie game designer with little knowledge of flash action scripting.  From the look of  it; it  looks like a game engine similar to Game Maker but will have to get a copy to really see what it can do.  Allowing you to create your own sprites and using simple commands to control the action of your game sprites to create a variety of flash based games. You can sign up for beta testing at the Stencyl home page. We’ll have to wait for a beta invite to get a real feel for the software but anything to help develop flash games for a wider audience is a welcome newcomer to the game.
